Shirley Koester

A Memorial Service for Shirley A. Koester, 80, of Somerset, Wisconsin will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16th, 2005, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 14940 62nd Street North, Stillwater, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15th, 2005 at Bradshaw Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, Minnesota. There will also be visitation at the Church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16th.

Shirley passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11th at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater with her family present.

She was born on January 8th, 1925 in Stillwater. Shirley dearly loved her call in life as a homemaker and faithfully carried out her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She graduated from Stillwater High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Seim, Sr.; her mother, Mae Seim; her brother, Rev. Kenneth Seim; and her son, Samuel.

Shirley is survived by her devoted and faithful husband of 59 years, Roy Koester; her admiring children: Rev. Larry Koester of Eagleton, Wisconsin; Linda (Charles) Kurth of Hastings, Minnesota; Scott (Kathy) of Stillwater; Darcy of Stacy, Minnesota; Jodi (Leroy) Jansen of Somerset, Wisconsin; Matt (Jeri) of Somerset; and her grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Becky Kurth; John Koester; Christopher and Heidi Koester; Justin, Brandon and Aaron Jansen; and Tessa, Tyler, Travis, Trever Koester; her great-grandchildren, Lonna and Zachary Jansen; her sister Mary Raithel of Austin, Texas; her brother George Seim, Jr. of Oakdale, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Children?s Playground Fund.
