Solveig Wynn Rovick

September 13, 2001 — September 30, 2024

St. Paul, Minnesota

Solveig Wynn Rovick was born on September 13, 2001, in Mankato, Minnesota. She was a beautiful and creative soul whose passion for art and unique sense of style touched the lives of all who knew her. From an early age, Solveig shone with a spirited personality that kept her family on their toes. Her refusal to be carried any way other than upside down by her father demonstrated her quirkiness and the joy she brought to her household. Solveig was a source of delight and laughter from the moment she was born.

Pursuing a degree in Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota, she was deeply interested in all aspects of funeral service. Solveig found honor in caring for the deceased with grace and compassion, reflecting her empathetic nature. Her dedication to her field will be recognized through a posthumous diploma to be awarded in June 2025. Throughout her life, Solveig was an accomplished artist who channeled her creativity into her artwork and personal style. She had a particular fondness for Halloween, showcasing her talents through elaborate costumes and performances in haunted houses. These moments revealed her ability to embody a character and entertain those around her, a testament to her spirited nature. Solveig’s journey was not without its challenges, as she grappled with depression and PTSD for many years. Solveig ended her life on September 30, 2024.

Solveig will be deeply missed by those who survive her: her parents, Aymee and Mark; brother, Stephen (Becca Biddick) Rovick; nephew, Soren; grandparents, Bill and Lil Rovick, Marie and John Kakuk; aunts and uncles, John (Tami) Kakuk, Angela (Matt) Bilbrey, and Joe Falkner; as well as her cousins, Macey, Evan, Abby, and Mason. Solveig was preceded in death by her aunt, Tina Rovick-Falkner, who was a second mom to her.
