Stephanie Joy Coltvet Erdmann, beloved child of God, died at Abbott Hospital on September 6, 2018 following complications resulting from a heart attack. She was born in Zumbrota, MN on December 29, 1977 to Pastor Sherman and Rachel Coltvet and spent her first six years in Wanamingo, MN. In 1984 she moved to Rochester, MN and attended Jefferson Elementary, Kellogg Junior High, graduating from Mayo High School in 1996. She was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. After high school, she enrolled in Concordia College in Moorhead, MN graduating in 2000. Sensing a call to ministry, she continued her education at Luther Seminary graduating and being ordained in 2004.she served as a pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines, IA, Transfiguration Lutheran in Bloomington MN and Edina Community Lutheran Church in Edina, MN.

In 2009, Stephanie was united in marriage to Paul Erdmann. They were blessed with twins, Madeline Hope and August Jonathan in 2014. In 2016, their son Miles Palmer was born.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin and Hattie Coltvet and Arnold and Esther Maakestad, her brother Jonathan Coltvet and her father, Sherman Coltvet.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, children, Madeline, August and Miles, Minneapolis, MN, her mother, Rachel Coltvet, Rochester, MN, sister, Elizabeth and James McGeeney, Anna and Anh, Rochester, MN, brother, Timothy, Linnea and Anders, Stillwater, MN, sister-in-law, Sarah C.A. Coltvet, Alex Arnold, Sauk Centre, MN, in-laws, Melvin and Judy Erdmann, Hillsboro, ND, Mark and Tanya Erdmann, Alyssa and Kayla, Roanoke, TX, David and Cynthia Erdmann, Roanoke, TX, Thomas and Ashley Erdmann, Josilyn and Reagan, Victoria, MN and many friends and extended family. Stephanie was a gifted preacher and leader with a heart for justice issues. She also was blessed with musical gifts playing violin with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and she loved raising her voice in song. Stephanie was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family.

A celebration of Stephanie's life will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Central Lutheran Church, 333 South 12th St , Mpls. MN. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Edina Community Lutheran Church, 4113 West 54th St. Edina, MN

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Equal Justice Initiative (eji.org), Edina Community Lutheran Church, or donors choice.
