Stephen T. Cherewan
Age 65
Died on August 8
Preceded in death by his brother Jon. Survived by his wife Chris; sons Skyler (wife Kira) and Jaz; father Konstantyn and mother Edith; brother Jim and sister Judy.
Steve was an amazing husband, loving and inspirational father. He was an accomplished Hammond B3 player who played with numerous bands including Doctor Mambo's Combo, the David Brenner show in Las Vegas and opened for Miles Davis at Glam Slam. His last 5 years were spent with his true passion, jazz piano, but he was taken before he could record his CD. Steve was a champion RC airplane pattern flyer, producer of award winning vintage Japanese bike restorations and custom paint jobs; recording engineer and studio owner; drag racer with his 1987 Buick Grand National; motocross racer; sharp shooter; restorer of WW II military rifles; and prefers Kirk to Picard. In the end he feared not being able to play jazz more than he feared death. His hope was to inspire others through his music.
