Steven Schultz

Steven O. Schultz, 61, of Stillwater, MN, passed away on Dec. 3rd, 2012 at home, surrounded by his family after a 6-yr. struggle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Norma Jean Schultz and mother-in-law Lenore Larson. He is survived by his wife Deb, sons Christopher and Kevin and daughter Carolyn; brother Kurt, sister Mary Beth Schultz (Mark Merrill); father-in-law Oren Larson; brothers and sisters in-laws Mark & Linda Pipkorn, Jeff & Joyce Brown, Tom & Joan Larson; nieces and nephews Tim, Elisabeth, Jenny, Kristina, Andy, and Ashley; and cousins Linda (Grear) Kimmel and Becky (John) Each, Barbara Cressy, Kenneth and Ronald Schultz.

Steve was a talented writer, guitar player, and good friend to many. Born in Aurora, Illinois, he was a graduate of Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, IL, Valparaiso University in Indiana, and Governor's State University, University Park, IL. He worked in communications and project management for companies including IBM, TIES, NCR-Comten, AT&T, Unisys, USWest (Qwest), and finally Trane Climate Control Systems in White Bear Lake. Along with his family, he will be missed by his co-workers, past and present, and his North Shore Grease band mates, Scott, Craig, Jerry and Ben.

A service to remember Steve and celebrate his life will be held Monday, December 10th at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stillwater with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family, Lakeview Hospital Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.

Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Lakeview Hospital who took great care of Steve over the years, to the employees at Trane, and to the congregations of Our Savior's and First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater who kept Steve, Deb, and their kids in their prayers.
