Susan Keithahn

Susan Marie (Schmehl) Keithahn, age 74, passed away on December 13, 2021.  She was strong and positive every day as she fought her year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Keithahn, son Jason Miller & wife Shonnie, step-sons Tim Keithahn (Kimberly), Todd Keithahn, and Patrick Keithahn (Susie) and grandchildren Jamie, Abby, Ryan, Jeremy, Kyle, Heidi and Holly, brother Jerry Schmehl and life-long friend Donna Palmquist.

Sue was a 1965 graduate of Stillwater High School and worked at the St. Paul Companies for 27 years starting out as a clerk and working her way up to a systems analyst position.  After joint early retirement at age 45, she and Jim enjoyed traveling both in the USA and abroad, visiting 24 countries, her favorites being South Africa, New Zealand and China.  She loved animals and shared nearly all of her life with a variety of cats and dogs including current cat, Catsby who will greatly miss her.

She also enjoyed painting, water aerobics, playing Mahjongg, shopping and winters at their condos on Maui.

She was humbled and grateful for the many friends and family who supported her during her journey with cancer, especially her friends from the Class of 1965 Book Club and the YMCA.

Celebration of Sue’s life to be held on Thursday, April 28th at 11am with a visitation one hour prior at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater.
