Suzanne D. "Suzy" Vogt, 80, a longtime former resident of Minneapolis, Edina and Stillwater, MN, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Edgewater Retirement Community in West Des Moines, IA. In agreement with Suzy's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral mass honoring Suzy's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 21, at the Church of St. Michael, located at 611 S. 3rd Street in Stillwater, MN, where the family will greet friends for one hour prior to the mass time on Monday. Burial will take place at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Suzy was born on March 31, 1933, in Minneapolis, MN, to James and Katherine (Wilmes) Dreis. Suzanne was a homemaker and the co-owner of the boutique "Your Favorite Things" on 44th and France. She was proudly a Docent at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for over 40 years. Suzy had resided in the Des Moines area for the past 16 months.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, George W. "Jay" Vogt, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Urbandale, IA; daughter, Pamela Lund and her husband, Bruce of Ankeny, IA; brother, John Dreis and his wife, Patti of Richfield, MN; and grandchildren, Laragh Vogt, Bruce Lund III, Graham Vogt and Madeleine Lund. Suzy was preceded in death by her husband George W. Vogt.
