Thais Marie O'Shea

O’Shea, Thais Marie Age 79, of Minneapolis, peacefully passed away January 5, 2024. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by daughters, Rebecca (Terry) O’Brien, and Leah (Brett) Woods; grandchildren, Emma, Terrance, William, Audrey, Brett Jr, Joseph, Isaac, and Violet; sisters, Carol Rivendell, Catherine (Tom) Bors; and brother, John Price; as well as many other family members and friends.

Thais grew up in Fairfield, CA. Her loving parents instilled a lifelong joy of nature, music, and books. She was a preschool teacher for 17 years and had a strong love for children. She also loved the outdoors and a good laugh. She shared stories of family adventures, with her siblings and cousins, with laughter. Along with her love of children, came a love of children’s books and poems. A favorite pastime was reading to her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy; she was so proud of each grandchild’s accomplishments, big and small. She was also involved in the church, holding an enduring bond with women from her Guild. She had a heart of service and cared for many; including sponsoring an extended family from Cambodia, who held a special place in her heart. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be at the Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave S, Mpls, 55410, on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00. Visitation starts an hour prior, with the rosary said at 10:30. A private interment will be held at a later date in Fairfield, CA. Memorials preferred to Christ the King, or Save the Children.
