Born September 18, 1937
Tom Benick passed away peacefully and unexpectedly with his family – his pride and joy — at his side as they held his hands on October 27th, 2021 at the age of 84. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Shirley; his children Tom and Vickie; his grandchildren Ben, Kara, Luke, Scallia and Lance; and his great grandchild Kallista. In Tom's early years, he joined his wife, Shirley in marriage on September 27th, 1958 where they shared 63 lovely years of marriage together. Shortly after marriage, he began his 25-year career as a 5th grade teacher at Garlough Elementary. When Tom was not in the classroom, he sold cars part-time at Southview Chevrolet and spent many summers working construction at 3M. Tom was also a proud owner of rental properties for 52 years with his partner Roger. Tom was the proudest Dad of his kids and their spouses Rick and Joanne. His legacy of family, hard work and compassion lives on through the passing of his beautiful blue eyes to his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 6 at 5:30pm, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater. Visitation two hours prior. Dinner at 6:15pm.
