Thomas Bramwell

Thomas A. Bramwell, 87, of Mendota Heights, died October 17, 2019. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side.  Survived by his wife, Karen; children, Tom (Julie), Jayne (Bob) Fuller and Dave (Cindy); stepchildren, Greg (Christine) Paulson, and Christine (Kevin) Kirchenwitz. 9 grandchildren, TJ (Kendall), Brian (Kellie), Mike (Kristin), Tim, Scott, Alex, Brenden, Haley, Tristan, and 6 great grandchildren.

Tom had a passion for life and everything it has to offer. After serving in the Navy, Tom started a manufacturing company which grew into Meca Sportswear and Samco that he led alongside his sons for 50 years. Tom enjoyed participating in the St. Paul Club, Shriners and Jesters, where he held positions of director and impresario. He was active in the St. Paul Winter Carnival, where he participated as a Vulcan and Boreas. Always an avid traveler, he enjoyed seeing the world cruising with friends and family. One could find him at his cabin next to the fire with his Glenlivet.  Being a seasoned Vikings fan since the Met, he rarely missed a game.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Abbott Heart Institute, Allina Hospice and his caregiver, Gahge with Legacy. A celebration of Tom’s life will be Saturday, November 2, 2019, 2:30 P.M. with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1:30 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96, White Bear.  A reception will follow at the Pool and Yacht Club in Lilydale beginning at 4:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Ronald McDonald Family Room at St. Paul Children’s Hospital or to the organization of your choice.
