"Tommy"
Loving Son, Brother, Uncle
Age 50 of St. Paul. As quickly and unexpectedly as events happen in the sport he loved so much, Tommy Brunette was taken from the boxing world just prior to what would become his final show. And while much of his life was spent giving his tremendous knowledge and passion to the sport of boxing, Tommy?s athletic prowess transcended boxing, most notably as an All State baseball player and Batting Champion representing the Washington Prexies. Yet, boxing was his calling. To that end, he nurtured his skills as a young man in the Rice Street area, then becoming a Golden Gloves Champion, representing St. Paul, MN. Later as a coach, manager, matchmaker, and promoter, Tommy dedicated himself to innumerable young people in the St. Paul area. The victories of those he worked with gave him much greater joy than any triumph of his own.
Preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Marilyn. Survived by siblings, Bobby, Brian (Kim) Tammy (Dominic) and Al (Jaclyn); nieces, Caitlin and Briarland; nephews, Marciano, Sonny and Tommy and many friends. In our corner forever!
