Beloved husband, father, grandfather.

Survived by loving wife of 55 years, Nancy; daughter, Susan (Scott) Hareland; son, Steven; grandchildren, Christopher Hareland, Matthew Hareland, Kimberly Hareland; sisters-in-law, Gayle McMullen, Judith Schustedt.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Eleanor; brother, J. David; brother-in-law, Miles Schustedt.

Tom was born in St Paul, graduated from Harding High School and received his masters degree at the University of Minnesota for electrical engineering. He spent his career at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed family time, the outdoors, hiking, gardening, traveling, woodworking, photography and classical music.

Celebration of Life 11AM July 29th at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, with visitation beginning one hour prior.

Memorials preferred to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church Foundation or Struthers Parkinson Center.
