Thomas “Tom” E. McMorrow III, 59, of Oak Park Heights, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Tom was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Vivian and Thomas McMorrow. He married Michelle in 1989 at her family’s farm in Ridgeland, Wisconsin.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University in Sociology he began a career in social work. Several years later, he happily moved to become a full-time father to his son, Ryan Thomas. He later began a career in the fishing industry by joining the Sports Specialists team selling tackle throughout the Midwest.

Tom had a love for nature and dedicated his leisure time to fishing. He spent many summers on Lake Vermilion guiding friends and family to the joys of fishing and a few fish. Tom was an avid sports enthusiast and coached Burnsville High School girls’ soccer teams throughout the 1980s. He was also a lifelong Packers and Twins fan.

Tom is survived by his wife, Michelle and his son, Ryan. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings; sister, Gayle; brother, Tait; brother, Richard & sister-in-law Joy; along with many other friends and family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Thomas; sister, Pat (David); brother, Jeff; and brother-in-law, Mike.

A Christian funeral will be held at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater, Minnesota. Visitation will be on February 5th starting at 9:00 am with a service at 11:00am. If you are so moved, donations in Tom’s memory may be given to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in St. Paul, Minnesota at stgeorgegoc.org.
