Ostrand, Thyra S. Retired 3M Employee Age 88, of St. Paul Thyra Ostrand was in Braham, MN on September 28, 1917 to Gust & Ada Ostrand. Having no brothers or sisters, she was preceded in death by her parents & close cousins, Edith, Elsa, Frances & Birger Palmer, Ebba Englund & Enoch Sandberg. She was baptized & confirmed at Braham Lutheran Church. Following graduation from Braham High School, Thyra moved to St. Paul where she worked as an administrative assistant at 3M Company for 38 years. Thyra was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls where she actively participated in Christian Fellowship, Camp Emmaus & Camp Patmos. At the time of her death she was a resident at Lyngblomsten Home where she volunteered in a number of activities. She enjoyed traveling, having visited missionary friends in China, Nepal & Africa. She also enjoyed playing golf. Service Friday, 1:30PM at LYNGBLOMSTEN CHAPEL, 1415 Almond Ave. St. Paul with a graveside service immediately following at Rice Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Braham, MN.
