Tim Behrend

Age 65, of Cottage Grove

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the cabin doing what he loved.  Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Dorothy; and brother, Paul.  He will be sadly missed by wife, Lori; children, Christine (Mike) Pecard and Matt; brother, Tom (Jan); and sister, Glorianne.  Survived also by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Tim had a diverse career, working as a stagehand for IATSE 13, as a teacher for Saint Paul College (after graduating top of his class), and as an electrician for IBEW 110 and the State of Minnesota.

Tim loved deer hunting, fishing, hiking, woodworking, feeding birds, watching wildlife, bonfires, and eating popcorn in his rocking chair.

Tim was known by many for his extreme generosity, which ended in a final selfless act of donating his body to the medical students of the University of Minnesota.

A socially distanced gathering of family and friends will be Friday, April 9, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. followed by a time of storytelling at 5:00 P.M. as we celebrate Tim’s life at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater.  Please come prepared to share a story or favorite memory of Tim.
