Timothy "Tim" J. Van Kampen

Age 80 of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away at home on September 22, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothy; and his brothers, John, Rodger, Denny, and Pat.

Tim was a fan of the Gophers and the Vikings, and could often be heard shouting at the television during games. Tim was proudest of his 42-year career as a metal worker at Twin City Wire, having worked on many things, including ladders and brass railings for the Ordway in Saint Paul and the gates at Paisley Park. Tim was also an encyclopedia of charting songs from the 1950s through the 1970s. He was an avid fisherman and spent a lot of time at the family cabin in Tenstrike.

He leaves behind his ex-wife, Derreen; his children, Tara, Shane, Nathan, and Beth; his grandson, Josh; his great-granddaughter, Anastasia; his brother, Terry; and sister, Wanda; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Van Kampen will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 PM at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street) with visitation an hour prior.

Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
