Age 72 of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away on March 24, 2024.

Tommie Hawkins was born to Astor and Paulie Hawkins on July 26, 1951; in St. Paul, Minnesota. Tommie was raised in St. Paul and was the oldest of 4 children. His nickname was Big Tom or Hawk.

Tommie attended Mechanic Arts and a Technical school. He was the family's protector, teacher, and Father figure. He was always just a phone call away. When you were his friend, you were his friend for life.

He had no enemies as his big smile and openness to share his knowledge and life experiences is nothing you could get from a book. Tommie enjoyed supporting his kids and family by attending games, school events, and just hanging out.

Tommie would do anything for his family and friends; he never hesitated to give you his last dime or roll up with his music blasting to drop off a surprise treat. He was honest, loving, and everyone respected Mr. Hawkins.

On Sunday, March 24, 2024 the Lord called Tommie Hawkins home. Tommie was preceded in death by his father Astor Hawkins and his mother Pauline Hawkins.

Mourning Tommie's passing, yet celebrating his memory is Pretty Lady Bea; sisters Gayle Brazil, and April Hawkins; brother Jody Hawkins; children LaQueetta, Tomy, and Tommy Hawkins Jr; Grandkids Jonneisha Hawkins, Tommy Hawkins III, Ciera Page, Nashara, Nevaeh, and Astoria Hawkins; Along with Nieces, Nephews, Great grand kids, Relatives, and Friends.

Funeral services for Tommie will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 12:00 PM at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street) with visitation an hour prior.
