Age 43 of Saint Paul, MN, passed away on August 18, 2024.

Vanessa Leigh Blackhawk was born on November 8, 1980 to Gail Ceveland and Donald Blackhawk. Vanessa completed her high school education at City Academy High School in 1999 and further pursued her studies at Saint Paul College, where she obtained her license as an Esthetician and Nail Care Technician in 2020.

Her love for her family and friends was evident in the way she cherished every moment spent with them. Music was a source of joy, but her true solace lay in the pages of the Bible, which she embraced with passion and reverence, finding guidance, comfort, and strength in its teachings.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Georgline Blackhawk, and Everett and Celeste Tipton; her daughter Mariana Uribe; and many relatives whom she loved.

She is survived by her parents, Gail and Donald; daughter, Alyssiana; granddaughter, Ivory; her sisters, Jovona, Salenna, Barbara, and Rayvonne; brother, Wahkan; many cousins whom she considered siblings; her nieces and nephews whom she treated as her own; and her aunts and uncles whom she adored.

Funeral services for Ms. Vanessa Blackhawk will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at 4:00 PM at Galilee Lutheran Evangelical Church (145 McCarrons Blvd).

Interment will be Thursday, August 22 at Oakland Cemetery at 11:00 AM
