Verda Gorden

A service will be held for Verda M. Gorden, age 77, of Stillwater, on Monday, November 8, 2004, 11:00 am, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 No. Fourth St., Stillwater. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 3 to 5 pm at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, and from 10 to 11 am, at the church prior to the service.

Verda died on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Lakeview Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1927 in Humboldt, Iowa. She met her husband, Sanford Harland, in Fort Dodge, Iowa at a dance and they were married on April 27, 1946. Verda and Sandy raised their family in Stillwater and lived here for the last fifty years.

Verda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sanford, infant son, Michael, and her siblings, Arlo, Garth, Avis, Lois and Betty and son-in-law, John Altier. She is survived by her children, Connie Jo Gorden (Quentin Baer), Pamela Sue Altier, Sam William Gorden (Beverly), Sandra Joyce Gorden, Debra Lugene Lelle (Jeff); 38 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews
