Age 91 of Minneapolis
Died peacefully on September 26, 2017. She is survived by husband of nearly 71 years, Lennart; children, Timothy (Jean) Nelson, Douglas (Angelika) Nelson, Nancy (Wesley Miller) Nelson; grandchildren, Lael (Eelco) Blum, Caroline Nelson, Jonathan (Naomi Scott) Miller, Matthew Miller, Nickolas Miller; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Frank & Emma Anderson; sister, Betty June Bergerson. Her South High School yearbook from 1944 claimed that Verna Mae had "a gay and carefree disposition," and this proved to be true her entire life. Memorial service will be 11AM Saturday at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, 3115 Victoria St N, Roseville, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
