Loving Son, Husband, Father and Grandfather Vincent Timothy Berger, Jr. age 64 of Mahtomedi, MN, Punta Gorda, FL, and Danbury, WI with his family by his side died peacefully on July 3rd, 2008 following a courageous 5 year battle with cancer.
Preceded in death by his father, Vincent Timothy Berger, Sr.; and aunt, Dorothy A. Mohr. Survived by his loving wife Penny of 40 years, daughter, Paige C. Nardi (Patrick) of Chicago, IL; and son, Vincent Timothy Berger III (Alexis) of Blaine, MN; and three grandchildren, Kyler, Alexander and Addison Berger. Also survived by mother, Marjorie J. of Winchester MA; brother, John Berger (Wendy), Scarsdale NY; sisters, Dorothy Wolfe (Rick) Silver Springs MD and Marjorie R. Berger, Winchester MA and several nieces and nephews.
Vincent was born July 4, 1943 in Bridgeport CT. He graduated from Winchester High School, class of ?61 and was a proud graduate of St. Bonaventure, Olean NY, and class of ?65 with a BA in history. He retired as a Captain US Army, Air Defense serving at El Paso TX and South Korea.
Vin spent 41 years in the plastic industry most recently as President of A/B Associates, Inc. in White Bear Lake, MN, inducted as a member of the Plastic Pioneers in 2002. He most recently served on the board of Voyager Village in Danbury, WI.
Life long love of boating and being on the water. Enjoyed golf and traveling with close friends.
Vincent will be greatly missed by his family, business colleagues and associates and numerous friends. A special thank you to Dr John A Wangsness, M.D., his nurse Quinn and the entire staff at MOHPA, Maplewood MN for their tender care and support.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday July 7th, 2008 at St. Jude of the Lake, 700 Mahtomedi Ave, Mahtomedi, MN. Visitation was held at church beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Vin requested that memorials are made in his name to St. Bonaventure, attn: University Advancement/Mr. Vincent T. Berger, Jr. Memorial, PO Box 2500, St. Bonaventure, NY 14778.
