Passed away on August 5 at age 77. Vi was born in a sod house on March 17, 1927, in Bucyrus, North Dakota and, at age five, moved with her family to a farm near Randall, MN. She spent her adult life living in St. Paul and in Maplewood. What Vi held most dear were her husband, children, grandchildren, her parents, and her 12 brothers and sisters. Vi will be remembered for her
kindness, fun-loving spirit, special love for children, and devotion to family. Survived by husband of 58 years, Willard Carpenter; daughter, Susan Banovetz (Peter); sons Michael and Barry (Mary); grandchildren, Lisa, Erin, Nicholas, Xavier, Joe, Tracy, Kelly; brother, Cliff Fisher; and sisters,
Virginia Sutton and Florence Ek. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Anna (Brastad) Fisher; beloved brothers and sisters; and "special son" Paul Schweitz. Service Tuesday 11 AM INCARNATION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3880 Hodgson Rd., North Oaks. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear (1 mile west of Highway 35E on Highway 96 at Greenhaven Dr.).
