Virgil Hogdal

Hogdal, Virgil O. of Ham Lake, MN age 90 passed away peacefully to be with his Savior on August 21, 2008. Preceded in death by his wife, Cora Margaret Hogdal. Survived by 2nd wife, Christel Hogdal. Will be greatly missed by his children, Meredith Pyles, John (Kim) Hogdal, Virginia (Doug) Kost, Anna (Mark) Carlyle, Nancy (Jeff) Braastad. Also survived by stepchildren, Mario (Roberta), Albert and Sylvia Kursawe. Virgil was a loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Virgil was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with an agricultural and forestry degree. He was a hard working farmer and a banker being Vice President of Princeton State Bank. He was an active member of the community through his involvement in Coon Creek Watershed, Ham Lake Lions, Ham Lake Sportsman?s Club and a very active member in the church his grandparents founded, Glen Cary Lutheran Church. Virgil was a mentor to his friends and was always willing to give advice. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. A celebration of his life will be held at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, 1551 Central Ave. NE, Ham Lake on Monday, August 25. Greet the family at church from 3:30-5:00PM with service of Christian burial at 5:00PM. Supper will be served immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Glen Cary Lutheran Church.
