Virginia "Ginny" Schneider

Virginia "Ginny" Ruth Schneider, 94, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Oak Park Heights, MN.

Born Virginia Anderson in Stillwater, MN on April 24, 1930, and grew up in Houlton, WI, she was a cherished member of the community and a beacon of joy and friendship to all who knew her.

Virginia graduated from Stillwater High School and went on to work as a legal secretary until her marriage to the handsome and charming John (Jack) Schneider on December 21, 1954, a beautiful winter wedding. They lived and raised their family on Lake Jane in Lake Elmo, MN. She was a bright light in the lives of many, always bringing people together with her infectious spirit and kindness.

Virginia's hobbies reflected her zest for life; she loved spending time at the family cabin on Lake Superior's North Shore, playing tennis, cross-country skiing, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She was also an excellent seamstress. Ginny's culinary skills were a treat to her family and friends, particularly her baking, which was much loved during gatherings.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Esther Anderson, brother Frank Anderson, and her beloved husband, John (Jack) Schneider. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her sons, David (Jean) and Peter (Suzanne LaPalm), and sister Nancy (Bill) Cammack.

A grave side service will be held for immediate family, honoring her life and legacy in the manner she wished. Virginia's bright spirit, sharp mind, and warm heart will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
