Passed away on January 8, 2022 at the Encore Assisted Living Center in Maplewood.

Vivian was born to Clara and Charles Carlson on November 22, 1924. She grew up in Grand Forks, ND, married Ray Gese on May 1, 1946 and had seven sons. Ray and Vivian lived in Arizona for many years enjoying retirement where they loved to dance, go bowling, play cards and golf. We will always remember Vivian for her kindness and her deep love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ray; infant son Kenny; brother Charles/Bud ; and sister LaVerne. She is survived by her sons Robert (Vanessa) of Alabama, John of Arizona, David (Catherine) of Alabama, James (Debra) of Hugo, Thomas (Anna Maria) of Tennessee, and Daniel (Lisa) of Arizona; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.

The family would like to extend deep appreciation to the entire Encore facility staff and friends, and Intrepid for making her last few months so memorable.
Everyone loved sweet Vivian and she will be greatly missed.
