of Marine-on-St.Croix, MN

Born 8/25/1918 in Oak Park, MN. Died 1/17/2005 on the island of Maui, HI. Survived by wife, Margie, son, Roger, and daugher, Summer (John), and grandson, Haden. Also survived by his sister Lillian Frenette and her 3 sons, Tim (Nel), Tom (Terri), and David (Linda), and their families, as well as by his many friends through out the world.

Arvid's interests included hunting, golfing, home and building renovation, farming, and travel. He loved nature and the scenic St. Croix River, and he loved his farm and wildlife preserve in northern MN.

Arvid was a proud Andersen Window employee for 56 years. He was the former CEO and Chairman of the board of the Andersen Corporation. He was former president of the Andersen Foundation and the Bayport Foundation. He was a board member of the First National Bank of Stillwater, and of Lakeview Hospital of Stillwater. He was a member of the Stillwater Rotary. He was a supporting founder of the Blueberry Pines Golf Course in Menahga, MN. He was a member of the Stillwater Country Club and of the Kapalua Golf Club on Maui. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a lifelong member of Ascension Episcopal Church in Stillwater, MN.

Arvid was thankful for his family and friends and for his long and productive life. He was a very humble man and would not have wanted all of this attention, but his family wants you to know that we have all lost a great friend.

Memorial Service 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co. Rd. 5). Visitation from 2 PM, until time of service and continued visitation following service until 6 PM. Private family interment at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Ascension Episcopal Church in Stillwater, MN, or to the donor's choice.
