Walter Ortman

Walter M. Ortman, born Dec 3, 1911 on a farm near Martin, ND, passed away March 4, 2018 at the age of 106.

Walter, a World War II veteran, was preceded in death by 2 sisters; 5 brothers; Lois, his wife of 63 years; and daughter, Nancy. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Martha) Ortmann; son-in-law, Doug (Nancy) Erickson; daughter, Joanne (George) Hernandez; sister-in-law, Ruth Wallace; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Service Saturday, April 28, 2018, 11 AM at First Evangelical Free Church, 5150 Chicago Ave So, Mpls, MN with refreshment and fellowship to follow. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment was at Ft. Snelling next to Lois, his "Beloved Brown Eyes." Memorials preferred: The Walter and Lois Ortman Endowed Scholarship Fund, Anderson University, 1100 E. 5th St., Anderson IN 46012 or Canine Companions for Independence, PO Box 446, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
