Wanda Grace (Hane, Roubik) Ladwig
Age 82; passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at her home in Rush City MN.
Wanda was born March 23, 1941in St. Paul, Minnesota, to William and Edith Hane. She worked at Armour Packing in South St. Paul until they closed in 1979. She was married to Arlan Ladwig and together they moved to the north woods of Ely, Minnesota. There she owned and operated Greystone Outfitters and tackle shop along with her husband, Arlan. In 1984 they moved to Ontario, Canada where they built a Fly-In-Out Post Camp service and she became a bush pilot. Wanda loved flying people in and out of the deep woods and over lakes.
Retiring in 1990, they moved back to Minnesota, staying close to family. Wanda will be greatly missed and remembered for her many personal accomplishments, her resilience and sense of adventure, great cooking and baking, and just being the greatest grandma ever!
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Arlan Ladwig; parents, Edith and William Hane; daughter, Belinda "Lindy" Roubik Kessel; son in law, Ray Kessel; grandson, Rory Roubik; and siblings, Arthur, John, and Brenda.
She is survived by her son, Raymond "Ray" (Monica) Roubik; daughter, Corine Roubik Smith; seven grandchildren, Raymond "Ray", Felipe, Angela, Levi, Garrett, Elizabeth, and Riannon; eleven great grandchildren; six sisters; four brothers, one of whom survived her by only one day; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday October, 2 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm, at Bradshaw Funeral Home (1078 Rice Street St. Paul MN)
