Warren Peterson

Warren Curtis Peterson of Faribault MN, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2018 at the age of 91. He was born to Charles and Ida (Anderson) Peterson on a farm near Stacy, MN. Warren graduated from North Branch High School in 1944 and married Jean Anderson on February 20, 1954. He was a veteran and served in the Army from 1954 to 1955. He attended Dunwoody Institute for drafting in the 50's and worked for Lull Engineering, TEL-ELECT Equipment and Finishing Systems. He loved to sketch and talk farming and tractors. His son, Jonathan was born in 1965. Jean passed away February 14, 2004 and Warren married Dorothy Durand (nee Anderson) on June 19, 2008. In his unassuming, quiet, humble way, he always put the needs of others before his own. He did not recognize it, but he was a "man among men" - a real caregiver. He enjoyed food and taking people out to eat! He did have a refreshing sense of humor. He loved his family, his friends, and most of all Truth. His was a deep enduring faith. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jean; infant sister, Harriet in 1924; infant brother, Forrest in 1930; sisters, Idamae in 2009 and Lorraine in 2010. Survived by wife, Dorothy; son, Jonathan (Gianine); grandsons, Giulian and Giordan all of Guangzhou, China; brother, Dean (Arlou), Milaca, MN; nieces, Cindy (Jeff) Barnick, Cottage Grove, MN, and Jill (Tim) Barbour, Maple Plain, MN and their families; nephew, Alan (Candace) Peterson, Crawfordsville, IN; step-children, Brian (Robin) Durand, Minneapolis, MN, Sue (Dean) Busse, St. Peter, MN; step-grandchildren, Noah and Ethan Durand, Sarah Busse and a multitude of friends. Services will be held Saturday, August 25th 2018 at 12:00PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake, MN. Visitation 2 hours prior. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
