Wayne Motz

Motz, Lambert Wayne, age 61 of St. Paul, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on October 14, 2017. Preceded in death by his mother, Erdine "Linda" Motz. Survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Deborah; father, Lambert L. Motz; daughter, Kelly Humphrey (Mark); son, Lambert Wayne Motz Jr.; adored grandchildren, Victoria, Christian and Brecken, Marissa and Ashley; brothers, David (Kathy) and Scott (Angela) Motz; sisters, Susie Motz McNeil and Tammey (Brian) Nowacki; nieces, nephews, loving relatives and lifetime friends.

After working in the family business, Plaza TV & Appliance, for 22 years, Wayne went out on his own as House of TV & Appliance. He later added the SUN TV location on Payne Ave. along with doing building rehabs, maintenance and property management. He was a recipient of many awards for his loyalty and distinguished service to the community including the Payne-Arcade Brucker Meritorious Service, the Lions International Foundation Melvin Jones Fellow, the Lions International Testimonial of Sincere Appreciation and the St. Paul East Side Lion of the Year; he also served as the St. Paul Winter Carnival 2002 East Wind.

Along with his outstanding lifetime contributions to the Windsor Canadian family, Wayne was known to his family and friends as full of humor and limitless generosity. He never said no to anyone or anything and was always ready with a story and a laugh. He had so many interests, but the ones remembered most vividly are his love for Hawaiian shirts, the Beach Boys, Dairy Queen, NASCAR, coin collecting and parades.

Visitation Friday, October 20 at 10:00 am; service at 12:00 pm, with luncheon to follow, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN 55082. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Edgerton St., Maplewood, MN.
