age 68 of Richfield
passed away on March 1, 2018 with his wife and daughter at his side. Diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma, an aggressive cancer, on 2/23/18. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cheri (Phillips); daughter, Shannon (Gary) Londo; grandsons, Gary III (Angie Tadych), Zachary; brother, Ronald (Sandy); many nieces, nephews and friends; furry pup, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lillian. A proud Marine Corps veteran, Wayne was a Life Member of Minneapolis American Legion Post #1. He was Past Department Vice Commander, 5th District Commander, and Past Post Commander, and a member of DAV Chapter #1. Wayne had enthusiastic phases of interest in his life, with the American Legion, classic cars, motorcycles and coin collecting, but his first love was always his family. Special thanks to the staff at the Minneapolis VA Hospital for their excellent care, especially Rick in SICU. Memorial service will be 11:00AM Monday, March 12 at BRADSHAW, 3131 Minnehaha Ave S. Visitation 4-7PM Sunday and one hour prior to service. American Legion Honor Salute during visitation on Sunday at 6:00PM. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. Interment at Fort Snelling.
