Wes passed away on Oct. 5, 2014, 14 days after his 71st wedding anniversary and 6 days before his 94th birthday. He was the loving husband of Virginia and caring father of Richard and Gregory, their wives Laurie and Deb and grandchildren Travis, Kara, Kirk, Hannah and Leah. He was met in Heaven by son Randall and brother Robert. Wes was raised in the Norwalk United Methodist Church. He served as a meteorologist for the Hump airlift in India during WW2. Wes held degrees from De Pauw, MIT and Columbia. He worked for ten years as a New York CPA for Rexham PLC followed by 20 years as its Treasurer. In retirement, Wes volunteered as Treasurer and Board Director of the Charlotte Nevins Center for disabled adults. Never afraid to speak his mind and chart his own course, Wes was the guy you wanted covering your back. Memorial service Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 3:00P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 813 West Myrtle Street, Stillwater, Minnesota.
