Willard Patty

Bill J patty Jr passed away June 21, 2023. 

Bill was Born in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 11, 1929. He attended the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, president of the Interfraternity Council, Cadet Colonel of the army ROTC, and received a law degree. It was at the University of Minnesota he met Missy Muir and they were wed in 1955. Bill was first employed by Taylor, McCaskill & Co, a local CPA firm, and continued with that firm until it merged into Ernst & Young. He became managing partner of the Saint Paul office, until his mandatory retirement age of 60. He and Missy, enjoyed golfing at North Oaks Golf Club and traveled extensively for their remaining years together. Often the days included bird watching (which was Missy's fond passion) in all corners of the earth. They particularly enjoyed wintertime visits to Mazatlan, Mexico and duck hunting and nature walks at their property in Otter Tail County. He was past president of the Saint Paul Club and the North Oaks Homeowners Association. He was so proud of their three sons, Kevin (Mary McDowall) of Arden Hills, Brian (Janet Skalicky) of Edina, and Tucker of North Oaks. He enjoyed their wonderful grandchildren Connor, Colleen, Cullen, Siena, Maya and Emma. A private memorial service was held by family members.
