William "Bill" Patrick Bump

Age 77 of Saint Paul and Stacy MN passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gail; and siblings Patricia Moyer and Edward Bump.

He is survived by his children Ruby (Douglas) Schultz, George (Sheryl) Bump, Patrick Bump, Rachel (Lucas) Mechtel, and Jacob (Melissa) Bump; step children Shannon (Tony) Sandstrom, David (Amy) Graylow, and John Graylow; grandchildren Joshua, Kevin, Daniel, Mark, Lake, Rowan, Brina and Briya; step grandchildren Jesse, Morgan, Zander, Kyah, Capri, Nicholas, Capella, Joey; step great-grandchildren Greyson, Elliot, and Josephine; and many other beloved family and friends.

Bill grew up in Saint Paul and attended Saint Paul Technical College before settling in Stacy to raise his 5 children. He met Gail while square dancing in the 90s and gained 3 more children when they married.

Bill was dedicated his career to the craft of electrical work as a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 110. He loved his work and the camaraderie it brought. Beyond his profession, Bill was a passionate Scout Master where he inspired countless young minds and fostered a love for the outdoors.

Bill was a man of many interests. He found joy in downhill skiing, square dancing, and broom ball. In addition, he was an avid cyclist, camper, and fisherman who cherished spending time outdoors. He also loved to travel, eagerly looking forward to family cruises wherever they would take him.

A Memorial service will take place at Sunny Side Free Lutheran Church, 22745 Typo Creek Dr. NE, Stacy, Minnesota, on Saturday the 29th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior.
