Passed away surrounded by family on April 23, 2011. Preceded in death by mother Helen Olson. Survived by wife Marie, father Lyman, son Mitch (Amanda), daughters Melissa (Ben) Line and Amanda (Josh Slack); stepsons Brian (Kim) Holen, Kyle (David Bedrin) Holen, stepdaughter Shelley (Jon) Eisele. Also survived by brother, Robert (Brenda) Barnes, sisters Barbara (Larry Grotewiel) Rathoff, Kelly (Manny) Hidalgo and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by his cherished grandchildren Quinn, Brody, Harper, Charlie, Jack, Seth, Adam, Veronica, Chloe, Charlotte, and his little yorkie pal Buffy. Chuck brought enthusiasm to everything he did and treated everyone with honesty and integrity. He leaves a void in the lives of not only his family and dear friends but all who worked with him at the Minnesota Historical Society and Minneapolis Public Schools. Memorial service, Wednesday, May 4th, 6:00 p.m. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Gathering of friends and relatives begins at 4:00 p.m. Memorials are preferred to Minnesota Historical Society.
