William Grant Richey IV
"Grant"
Age 49 of Mpls, born in Shawnee, KS. After a 10+ year battle with cancer, passed away peacefully Thanksgiving Day, 11/26/09, surrounded by family and friends in his home in Mpls. Preceded in death by his mother Barbara. Survived by his partner Tom Michlitsch of St. Paul, MN, father Bill (Cynthia) of Gold Canyon, AZ, sisters Alison (Kim) Pearse of Overland Park, KS and Elizabeth (Guenter) Kaefinger of Vienna, Austria; nephew and niece Clifford and Rose Kaefinger. Grant was a professional actor/director/teacher. His thoughtfulness, humor, creativity, and perfectionism will live on with fellow actors, friends and students. Thanks to the staff at U of M Medical Center and Fairview Hospice. No flowers please, contributions preferred to: Frank Theatre, Mpls. History Theatre, St. Paul and Illusion Theatre, Mpls.
