Respected mathematics teacher, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2013 after bravely battling Burkitt's lymphoma for the past five years. Bill was born on December 21, 1939 in Mankato, MN and graduated from Cleveland, MN High School in 1957. He earned his Master of Science in Mathematics from Mankato State College. Bill attended the Air Force Academy for one year and served in the U. S Air Force Reserve Program for eight more years. In 1960, Bill married Janet Zabel of Minnesota Lake, MN. The couple had three children and worked side-by-side for fifty three years. Bill taught math in Ellendale, MN from 1963 - 1968. Next, Bill taught at Oakland Junior High School for fifteen years. He coached football, refereed basketball and umpired baseball. In 1983, Bill moved to Stillwater High School where he taught many advanced classes until his retirement in 1998. Bill enjoyed many woodworking projects and preparing income taxes for people of the AARP program. He was an avid reader and most dedicated to his family, profession, country and our Lord. Mr. Stradtman is survived by his beloved wife, Janet, daughters, Barbara (Charles) Kurtz, Nancy (Michael) Anderson and son, David (Jennifer) Stradtman. He is also survived by six wonderful grandchildren: Benjamin Anderson, Allison and Rosalie Kurtz, David William, Jr. and Stella Stradtman and Mikayla Mittl. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathe Tucker and Mary Myhra, several nieces and nephews and will be missed by a host of dear friends, Stillwater Retired Educators Association and several area churches. A celebration of Bill's life will be Friday, October 4, 4:30 P.M. at KING OF KINGS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury, MN. Private interment. Visitation Thursday, October 3, 2013, 4:00-7:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5), Stillwater and also one and one-half hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred to the family.
