Willis Kunze

Kunze, Willis (Bill) Beloved Father And Grandfather Preceded in death in 1986, by Muriel, his wife of 45 years. Bill will be sadly missed by his daughter, Darlene; son, Dean; daughter-in-law, Judy; 7 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. Bill, age 95 was born in St. Paul, MN. He was raised on a small farm in what is now the Como Park area of St. Paul. Upon graduation from Mechanic Arts High School, Bill attended Macalester College, where he was an outstanding football player. In 1937, Bill graduated with a teaching degree. His first teaching/coaching position was interrupted by World War II. Bill served as a Commissioned Naval Officer. His teaching & coaching career continued in St. Paul Public Schools until his retirement in 1973. He was highly respected as a teacher & a coach. Funeral service Thursday, 10:00 AM at ARLINGTON HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1115 Greenbrier Street. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday (TODAY) 4-8 PM at BRADSHAW, 1174 Payne at Rose & also one hour prior to service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Arlington Hills Lutheran Church.
