Yeej Yaj (John Yang)
Yeej was a bright young boy that cared for his siblings and farmed the rice fields with his mother. As his family was provided an opportunity to move to the United States from the refugee camps of Thailand, they traveled to start a new life and settled in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up to be a fine young man, excelling in his education and sports.
Yeej met and married the love of his life, Tia. They did everything together every day - picnics, cooking, dance, walks, fishing, hunting, gardening - they never left each other's side. The lovely couple was soon blessed with Stacy and David, then moved to the Twin Cities area of Minnesota to be near family. Shortly after, Johnny and Angel became their next blessings.
Yeej passed away Friday night around 7:00 p.m., February 11, 2022, surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for his unconditional love for his wife and children, sense of humor, wisdom, strength, and kindness. His legacy will live on, being survived by his wife and children. He will be dearly missed by everyone and will always be in their hearts.
