Yvette Burgin

Yvette Burgin, age 50 of St. Paul, went to her rest unexpectedly on December 8, 2020. She will be sadly missed by those who survive her: husband of 30 years, Eric; children, Quinntina (Donny) Chapman, De’Jarriell (Tiajah Turner) Burgin, Tatiana (Dayvon Sole) Burgin, Enecia Burgin; grandchildren, Aubrey Sole, Kaidence Chapman, Nevaeh Burgin, Sinai Chapman, Daiceon Burgin, Ny’Asia Chapman; father, James (Evelyn) Diggs, Jr.; siblings, Vicky (Sterling) Robinson, Sharrod (Valerie) Dickerson, James (Jairia) Diggs III, Jr., Michael Diggs, Andre (Linda) Diggs, Rodney (Regina) Diggs; auntie/mother figure, Regina Johnson; and best friend, Cheryse Brown.

She has been greeted in heaven by those who went before her: her mother, Carlene; grandparents, Arlena Dickerson, Richard Dickerson, Pecola Diggs, James Diggs; auntie and mother figure, Minnie Irby.

Yvette was manager of a group home, and put her soul into that work. She was proud, and strong, and instilled those gifts in her children. As someone who loved to dance, Yvette was the life of the party.

Yvette’s homegoing service will be 2pm Saturday, December 19th at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. As seating is limited, a video recording of the service will be available at a later date.
