David Steven Ellenbecker

Age 92 of Saint Paul, MN

A life long resident of St. Paul, Dave crossed the last portage and passed peacefully on May 3, 2022. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Janet (Stack) Ellenbecker, and son-in-law George Gorbatenko, Jr.

He is survived by loving wife of 66 years, Helen (Schlief); daughter, Margaret Gorbatenko (Paul Fuchs); son Daniel; grandchildren, Stefani Hodzic, Ben Ellenbecker, Chloe Avila, Hannah and Michael Gorbatenko; 4 great-grandchildren, and special former daughter-in-law, Kim Olsen.

Dave worked for over 40 years in the printing industry, and will be remembered for his love for and devotion to family, appreciation for nature, intelligence, and quick wit. He loved nature photography, canoe trips in the Canadian wilderness, reading, and was unbeatable at Scrabble. He was an award winning member of the Minnesota Nature Photography Club. Thanks Dave, for a legacy of love, loyalty, and beauty.

Celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 with visitation at 3 PM and service at 4 PM at Bradshaw-Stillwater, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, MN 55082.
