Mark Schmidt "Schmidty"

Mark Schmidt “Schmidty” local 417 sprinkler fitter, retired. Lifelong St. Croix Valley resident, passed away on September 4, 2019 at age 59.

Mark worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed being a sprinkler fitter, following his Father’s footsteps when he joined the union. He also loved to fish, most often found on the St. Croix River fishing for the ever elusive walleye. An avid MN sport fan, rarely missing a Gopher, Twins, Vikings or Wild game on TV. He played baseball for many years, usually sporting #6.

A loving husband, brother, proud uncle, and friend to many, Mark had a unique sense of humor that will be greatly missed. Survived by wife, Cheryl; his siblings; in laws; outlaws; nephews; nieces; and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents, James and Joyce Schmidt.

Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM (noon) on Sunday September 15, 2019. at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater, MN. Visitation for two hours prior to the service, luncheon following funeral service at The Beach Bar, 2030 St Croix Trail S, Lake St Croix Beach, MN 55043. Private interment at Boardman Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Cullen Crea Funeral Home.
