William 'Bill' Whitcomb

Age 83, of Cottage Grove, passed peacefully to be with Jesus on January 23, 2023.

He was preceded in death by parents, Clay and Jude Whitcomb; and brother-in-law, Mark Smith. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharron; sons, Scott (Monica), Mark (Angela), and Matt; daughter, Staci (Mark) Heidebrink; brother, Jim Whitcomb; sister, Mary Lou (Dinnie) McEuin; sister-in-law, Laurie Smith; grandsons, Ryan (Fearon) Whitcomb, Jake (Kari) Heidebrink; granddaughters, Michelle (Marques) Tucker, Ashley (John) Prelvitz, Samantha Whitcomb; 10 great grandchildren and many dear friends.

Bill was born in Sterling Colorado. Graduated from Sterling High School and graduated from University of Northern Colorado where he received his BA and Masters degrees. He worked at 3M in management positions throughout his career.

He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with family. He was dearly loved by his family and friends who greatly miss his loving presence, his prayers, faithful support, kind heart, and great sense of humor. The light of Christ in him left fingerprints on many hearts.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater with visitation one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to family to be distributed to Bill's favorite ministries in his honor.
